Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.</li><li>Design and optimize production layouts, tools, and equipment.</li><li>Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions using lean tools Kaizen events, SMED, and DMAIC tools.</li><li>Collaborate with design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability of new products. Poka yoke processes when possible.</li><li>Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.</li><li>Develop standard work for processes using work instructions, OMS (Operational Method Sheet’s) and MOP (Machine Operational Process).</li><li>Engage with operations, discover their pain points and address.</li><li>Focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.</li><li>Participate in daily GEMBA walks.  </li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.</li><li>2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing systems.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork abilities.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Experience with automation and robotics.</li><li>Knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools.</li><li>Project management experience.</li><li>Green or Black Belt Certifications.</li></ul> Work Environment/Safety:  Non-controlled environment. Exposed to typical of any manufacturing environment.  Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
