Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as Summer Camp Assistants for our short-term college-sponsored camp. This temporary role is ideal for high school or college students who enjoy working with children and are committed to creating a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience.

Examples of Duties

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise groups of campers through scheduled activities.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment in accordance with college safety protocols.
• Assist lead instructors with setup, breakdown, and organization of equipment.
• Serve as a role model and mentor, promoting teamwork and respect among campers.

Typical Qualifications

• Age: Minimum 16 years old by the start of camp.

• Education: Current high school or college student in good standing.

• Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience and adaptability in dynamic environments

• Ability to lead and supervise small groups of campers

• Additional Information:

• This is a temporary position for the duration of the camp session.

• Compliance with youth employment regulations will be required for applicants under 18.

• Selected candidates will receive training prior to camp.
