Soccer Shots Salt Lake provides soccer and character development programs for children ages 18 months to 8 years old. Our mission is simple: to positively impact children's lives through the game of soccer. We are a locally owned, family-operated business that believesin creating a positive experience not only for the children and families we serve, but also for our team members. Our coaches receive training in child development, leadership, communication, and coaching techniques that help them succeed both on and off the field. Whether you're a college student, recent graduate, aspiring educator, athlete, or someone who enjoys working with children, this role offers an opportunity to build valuable skills while making a meaningful impact in your community.

As a Soccer Shots Coach, you'll lead fun, age-appropriate soccer sessions that focus on both skill development and character building. Responsibilities include:

• Leading soccer sessions for children ages 18 months to 8 years
• Creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment
• Teaching soccer fundamentals using our structured curriculum
• Encouraging character development through positive coaching
• Managing class attendance and equipment
• Communicating professionally with families, teachers, and childcare staff
• Arriving prepared and on time for scheduled sessions
• Following all safety and program guidelines

All coaches complete a paid training program covering:

• Soccer Shots curriculum
• Child engagement strategies
• Age-appropriate coaching techniques
• Classroom and group management
• Safety procedures

Our coaches gain experience in:

• Leadership
• Public speaking
• Communication
• Early childhood education
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Customer service

Many former coaches have used these skills in careers in education, healthcare, business, sports, and youth development.

We value collaboration, continuous improvement, and supporting one another. Throughout the year, coaches participate in:

• Team trainings
• Coach development opportunities

• Recognition and performance-based rewards

Starting pay: $18 per 30–45 minute session. Opportunity to coach 30+ sessions per week. Seasonal performance bonuses. Paid training. Gas reimbursement for approved travel outside assigned territories. Leadership and advancement opportunities.

Coaches must be available for at least six coaching blocks per week. Typical coaching times include:

Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Saturday 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM

Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to pass a background check. Experience working with children, coaching, teaching, or mentoring is preferred but not required.

Successful Soccer Shots coaches are dependable, energetic, patient, and enjoy working with young children. They are comfortable leading groups, communicating with families, and creating an environment where children feel encouraged, supported, and excited to learn.
