Description Questions Description Reports directly to Community Education Program Managers. This position will perform a variety of basic tasks in support of a department or area assigned. Follow written and oral instructions. Difficult or unusual problems are usually referred to the supervisor or other appropriate personnel. This position functions under direct supervision and decision making is based upon set policies and procedures.

Typical Duties

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons, activities, and projects.
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students during class time, recess, field trips, and transitions.
• Help with classroom organization, setup, and clean-up.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Aid in implementing safety procedures and responding to student needs.
• Assist in preparing coursework materials and class handouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the program.

Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Classroom experience or current college coursework in education or child development required. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to follow directions and collaborate with a team. • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
