Essential Job Functions:
This one-year-only part-time position will report to the Project Director of PAHC (Parkway's Alliance for Healthy Communities). He or she will be charged with the mission of increasing community/youth partnerships and collaborations. The Youth Coordinator will assure development and implementation of recruitment plans specific to the goals and objectives of the Drug-Free Communities Grant; will assure social media posts are regular and also posts for specific project implementation; will assure ongoing stakeholder networking, recruitment, and retention; will network with AHC high school Promoters and TVC student teams in assisting youth-involved social norms projects; will assist in AHC's Safe Celebrations activity planning and implementation; will assist with Protect Your Game activities; will assist with Lit Loot activities; will assist in preparation of AHC monthly membership meetings and as needed with AHC community events; as well as other duties as assigned. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, social work, public health, education, or related field; Master's degree preferred
2+ years' experience in community organizing and stakeholder recruitment
MS Office proficient
Demonstrated leadership and team-building talent
Effective community networking skills
Team-oriented; strong collaboration skills
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
Strong organizational abilities
Superior verbal and written communications skills
Public speaking skills
Event planning experience
May be required to travel to some national and state trainings
