About the Role: As a Youth Care Specialist at PATHWAYS TO PURPOSE, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting at-risk youth in Garfield Heights, OH. Join our dedicated team to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to youth in residential settings.
Facilitate individual and group activities to promote personal development.
Monitor and document daily behaviors and progress of youth.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary.
Maintain a safe and structured environment for all residents.
Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities.
Build trusting relationships with youth to encourage positive change.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in social work or related field preferred.
Experience working with youth, especially in a behavioral health setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
CPR and First Aid certification required; training provided.
Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
Compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping youth succeed.
Background check required for employment.
