Shift & Schedule: Day / Evening Shift | 37.5 Hours/Week
Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Thursday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize patient and staff exposure
- Utilize beam-restrictive devices and patient shielding as required
- Process and evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality
- Document patient care activities and completed examinations accurately
- Maintain patient and department records in compliance with facility standards
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Monitor and maintain radiology supply inventory levels
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance protocols
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements
- Support departmental and organizational goals through teamwork and collaboration
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience required
- Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required
- Current ARRT Certification required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
- Experience operating radiologic imaging equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
- Dependable with a strong focus on quality patient care
- English proficiency required (read, write, and speak)
