Job Title: X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 37.5 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
Explain imaging procedures and address patient questions and concerns
Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Utilize beam-restrictive devices, patient shielding, and proper exposure factors
Evaluate radiographic images for quality and diagnostic accuracy
Document patient care activities and completed examinations accurately
Maintain patient and departmental records in accordance with facility standards
Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
Monitor and maintain radiology supply inventory
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements
Support departmental goals through teamwork and collaboration
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required
Current ARRT Certification required
Graduate of an AMA-Approved School of Radiologic Technology required
0–2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience accepted
Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
Experience operating radiologic imaging equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Dependable with a strong focus on patient care and quality outcomes
English proficiency required (read, write, and speak)
