The WVU AmeriCorps VISTA Leader supports the WVU VISTA program by coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing member development throughout the service term. This role includes regular check-ins with VISTA members, providing professional development guidance, and ensuring members are supported and engaged in their placements. The VISTA Leader maintains relationships with host sites and helps build and expand community partnerships for future placements. They also plan and coordinate cohort-based service projects, networking opportunities, and events that connect VISTAs with one another and the broader community. In addition, the VISTA Leader supports outreach and tabling efforts, assists the Center for Community Engagement with program goals, and helps refine and update program materials and internal processes to improve clarity and consistency. This role serves as a key connection point between VISTA members, host sites, and WVU's broader community engagement efforts.
