Description Title: Worship & Media Director

Purpose --------

The Worship & Media Director is responsible for creating a culture of contemporary-liturgical worship through music within our congregation that is theologically robust and doxologically engaging, while also leading the church's communication and media strategy in order to advance the mission of the church with excellence and clarity.

Worship/Music Ministry (60%) --------------------------------

• With the Senior Pastor, prayerfully plan, arrange, and select songs & liturgy for Sundays and occasional special services (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
• Schedule, train, and equip the Worship Team & A/V Team Lead Sunday Morning Worship, including Sunday AM rehearsal
• Lead weekly 'Midweek' rehearsal
• Manage A/V equipment, platform, iPads, printed music for weekly worship
• Assist with music and A/V needs as needed for School (chapel, spring/winter programs), special events (VBS, retreats or ministry activities), weddings/funerals, etc.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd a healthy team of Worship & A/V volunteers, fostering unity, spiritual growth, and musical excellence

Media/Communication (30%) -----------------------------

• Oversee creation and design of weekly sermon graphics, slides, and other visual elements
• Maintain and update church website for clarity, accessibility, and ease of use
• Manage and curate church social media accounts, ensuring consistent and Christ-centered presence
• Develop a communication strategy for announcements, events, and ministry highlights
• Coordinate livestreaming and video editing for services and events
• Recruit and equip volunteers for media and communications needs
• Utilize and train others on Planning Center, ProPresenter, and/or other worship-related software as needed

General Ministry (10%) ----------------------

• Attend weekly staff, Worship Planning, & 1-1 meetings with the Senior Pastor
• Assist with other occasional teaching or leadership opportunities in the church related to areas of giftedness
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor

Worship & Media Director

We are looking to add a Full-Time Worship & Media Director to our incredible church staff who has a heart for 'washing the feet of the saints' with music that contains biblically sound lyrics. We want to strive for 'undistracting excellence' in all we do, as we seek to glorify God and edify the church through a 'contemporary-liturgical' approach to worship ministry.

This individual would need to be someone who is comfortable leading worship from guitar and/or piano as he leads a team of volunteers with various instrumental and vocal giftings as well. Our musical 'flavor' each week involves a diet of 4-5 songs, consisting of approx. 1 CCM/top 40 song, at least 1 classic hymn (modernized is good), and at least 1 theologically rich/reformed/modern songs (Getty Music, CityAlight, Indelible Grace, Matt Boswell/Matt Papa, et al) with our emphasis being 'heavier' on the latter 2 categories. We also implement a Regulative Principle approach that roots us in Scripture-ordained practices communicated in a modern day context.

We have a Call To Worship, Confession Assurance of Pardon, weekly Lord's Supper, Creeds/catechisms, and Benediction as part of our liturgical flow, which the pastors lead in large part in conjunction with the Worship Director. Our ideal candidate for the Worship & Media Director position loves Jesus & his church and will patiently and humbly, yet confidently lead the team of volunteers who serve. This candidate must be willing to become a member of Westminster PCA, and abide by our doctrinal convictions and philosophical commitments to ministry.

This individual should have strong communication and organizational skills, along with a teachable spirit that willingly submits to Pastor Ryan's leadership and guidance.

What We Are Offering ---------------------

• Compensation: $85,000-95,000k annually, depending on qualifications and experience

Being located in Southwest Florida, we experience the ebbs and flows of seasonal ministry, where we currently average about 190 on Sunday mornings from May to October and 250 from November to April. We also are enthusiastic about our mission school, Summit Christian School, here on campus which has about 120 students enrolled in K - 8th grade, many of whom come from families that do not attend church anywhere and present a prime environment for outreach.
