Are you excited about the intersection of real-time voice systems and agentic AI? Do you thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving spaces where you get to define the architecture from scratch and work directly with customers?

We are looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect to own the Voice AI domain within the AI Frameworks GTM team at AWS. Voice AI agents - powering contact center automation, medical scribes, real-time translation, and conversational assistants - represent one of the fastest-growing agentic AI workloads. Enterprises are adopting composable voice pipelines (STT LLM TTS) that combine open-source frameworks, 3P voice models, and cloud infrastructure to meet stringent real-time requirements.

In this role, you will be the go-to technical authority for voice AI on AWS. You"ll design end-to-end composable architectures for enterprise customers, integrating best-of-breed voice technologies with AWS services - and demonstrate why AWS is the superior platform for production voice AI at scale. You"ll work across customer-facing engagements, 3P solution development, reference architecture creation, and field enablement.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design composable voice AI architectures for enterprise customers - selecting and integrating the right combination of STT, LLM, and TTS models with orchestration frameworks and AWS infrastructure (SageMaker AI, EKS, AgentCore, Fargate) to meet real-time latency, cost, and compliance requirements
  • Lead customer engagements end-to-end - from initial architecture workshops through production deployment, owning the technical relationship across multi-month cycles and adapting solutions as customer requirements evolve
  • Win competitive deals by building TCO models, demonstrating cost/performance advantages of composable stacks on AWS vs. managed alternatives and incumbent cloud platforms, and running proof-of-concept deployments
  • Develop reference architectures and blueprints that codify repeatable patterns and enable the broader field (specialist SAs, account teams) to execute voice AI engagements at scale
  • Drive 3P solution integration - coordinate technically with voice model providers and orchestration framework companies on joint solution development, marketplace onboarding, and roadmap alignment
  • Influence product direction by translating customer pain points and competitive gaps into actionable feedback for AWS service teams.

A keen sense of ownership, drive, and being scrappy is a must.

About the team

The Frameworks team is highly specialized on computational workloads, performance evaluations and optimization. We work with Foundation model builders and large scale training customers, dive deep into the ML stack including the hardware (GPUs, Custom Silicon), operating system (kernel, communication libraries (NCCL, MPI), Frameworks (PyTorch, NeMO, Jax) and models (Llama, Nemotron...). We also work with containers (Docker, Enroot), orchestrators (EKS) and schedulers (Slurm).

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
