Workshop Supervisor - Boston, MA

The opportunity

The Workshop Supervisor complies, classifies, and monitors the workshop service with regards to maintenance and disruptions to vehicles and installations and advises the Management and informs his team members regarding operational decision making. This position reports directly to the Workshop Manager.

The Workshop Supervisor ensures quality of service towards our clients by showing the right leadership skills, based on our TCR values which they promote and implements. At the workshop, safety of all stakeholders is ensured by the supervisor. They perform reporting on safety, quality, and performance. The Workshop Supervisor is actively performing maintenance and repair at least two third of its time. The rest of the time is spent on team roll-out of safety culture, team supervision and workshop organization.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring strong teamwork, accountability, and performance

  • Own workshop results forsafety, quality, efficiency, and resource utilization

  • Plan and manage maintenance activities usingTCR processes and SAP, including manpower, parts, and workload prioritization

  • Overseework packages, track progress, backlog, and bottlenecks, and ensure maintenance is delivered on time and to standard

  • Ensure accurateinventory and spare parts management

  • Provide management with visibility intocapacity, feasibility, risks, and operational constraints

  • Review, complete, and sign off oninspection and maintenance documentation

  • Support technicians withtechnical guidance, troubleshooting, and on-the-job coaching

  • Driveknowledge transfer and skills developmentwithin the team

  • Coordinate withcustomers, suppliers, and internal departmentsto support daily operations and equipment availability

  • Contribute tocontinuous improvementby enhancing processes, procedures, and equipment reliability

  • Identify and implementtechnical and cost-saving improvementsto improve asset availability

  • Maintain full responsibility forworkshop administration, including work orders, time tracking, and invoicing preparation

  • Actively promote and leadsafety culture, ensuring compliance with OHS and TCR safety standards

  • Perform hands-on technical duties when required and complete other tasks as assigned to support business needs

Who we are looking for someone who:

  • (Expert) technical background in GSE maintenance and repair: mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, air pressure, aircon/refrigeration units, and electrical systems (Preferred).

  • Ability to make complex decisions whilst under pressure.

  • Stress resistant.

  • Assists in implementation of formal quality improvement.

  • Demonstrates continuing commitment to achieving a OHSA friendly working environment by seeking out and attending additional safety education classes over and above those required.

  • Act as role model.

  • A real team player.

  • Strong in communications.

  • Drive for excellence.

  • Good MS Office 365 skills.

  • Leadership skills: facilitating teamwork, communicating the vision, effective delegation, managing change, managing conflict, directing others.

  • Fluent in English – both oral and written.

  • Pay range is: $43 - $46 an hour based on experience and qualifications.
