About the Role
The part-time Workplace and Office Manager is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment while supporting employee experience and day-to-day workplace operations. This role oversees office administration, facilities, events, vendor coordination, and basic technical support to ensure the office runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Office Operations. Manage the daily operation of the office by overseeing incoming mail, maintaining office and kitchen supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring shared spaces remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Events & Employee Experience. Plan and coordinate office events, virtual events, employee celebrations, team gatherings, and other engagement initiatives, managing logistics, vendors, catering, and event setup.
- Office Technology Support. Provide first-level support for common office technology needs, including laptop setup, printers, conference room equipment, and basic hardware troubleshooting, escalating issues when necessary.
- Facilities & Building Management. Serve as the primary point of contact for building management, maintenance providers, and office vendors by coordinating repairs, office access, preventative maintenance, and facility-related requests.
- Administrative & Project Support. Provide administrative support across Office Operations and People Operations while assisting with ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as needed.
- Billing & Vendor Coordination. Serve as the primary People Operations liaison to the Accounting team by coordinating HR-related invoices, vendor billing, and payment requests.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in office administration or office management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable troubleshooting basic office technology and coordinating with external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
Salary
When we find the right person, we try to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you and is fair on our end. We consider the skills and experience you bring, what similar jobs pay, and make sure there’s equal pay for equal work among those you’ll be working with. The compensation amount for this role is targeted at $25-$30 USD hourly. The final offer also takes into account other factors of a total compensation package, including what is market-based on the region. Please note that the range is being shared in good faith and is subject to modification based on changing market and business conditions.
