Workforce Compliance Specialist

Job Description:
  • The Workforce Compliance Specialist will support the Workforce Compliance team by performing high-volume audit and data review activities across multiple workforce compliance programs.
  • Previous workforce compliance experience is not required, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn workforce compliance while supporting audit activities and developing into a broader compliance role over time.
  • This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, repetitive work, has strong organizational skills, and takes pride in maintaining accurate records.
  • This role is responsible for reviewing employee records, verifying required documentation, identifying missing information, and helping ensure audit readiness across Drug & Alcohol, Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and Employment Authorization programs.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience performing high-volume, detail-oriented administrative or data entry work.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and missing information.
  • Experience reviewing, verifying, or maintaining records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while following established processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn workforce compliance processes through on-the-job training.

PREFERRED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience performing audits, quality reviews, document control, records management, credentialing, licensing, or similar administrative work.
  • Experience working in high-volume environments where accuracy and documentation were critical.
  • Experience reviewing personnel records, shipping documents, medical records, or other regulated documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform high-volume audits using established procedures and checklists.
  • Review employee files for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify required documentation across multiple workforce compliance programs.
  • Compare employee records against established audit requirements.
  • Identify missing documentation, discrepancies, and incomplete records.
  • Maintain audit tracking spreadsheets and audit documentation.
  • Assist the compliance team with audit readiness activities.
  • Learn workforce compliance processes through hands-on audit support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drug & Alcohol Program
  • Review employee records to verify required Drug & Alcohol testing documentation is complete.
  • Ensure required testing documentation is present based on established audit criteria.
  • Identify missing or incomplete records for follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation.
  • Background Checks
  • Verify required background check documentation is complete.
  • Review employee records for compliance with established audit requirements.
  • Document missing information and assist with audit cleanup efforts.
  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
  • Audit employee records to verify required MVR documentation.
  • Track missing or expired records.
  • Maintain accurate audit tracking.
  • Employment Authorization
  • Review employee files to verify employment authorization documentation.
  • Ensure required records are complete and properly maintained.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, and utilize manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi-limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May occasionally be required to lift, carry, and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in a professional corporate office environment operating in a fast-paced setting. This position is 100% onsite and primarily computer-based, requiring extended periods of reviewing electronic records and documentation. Daily responsibilities involve high-volume audit and data review activities with minimal interruptions while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Employees can expect a collaborative team environment where training and development are encouraged.
