WORKFLOW AUTOMATION SPECIALIST – SRPPF

JOB SUMMARY:
The Workflow Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting workflow-related information technology (IT) initiatives, including systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of workflow solutions. This role exercises discretion and independent judgment while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient workflow systems that align with organizational goals.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Workflow Automation Specialist performs technical and analytical assignments in support of workflow automation and enterprise application development.
Responsibilities include assessing workflow requests, documenting requirements, and developing accurate process diagrams. The specialist collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into functional workflow solutions.
The role supports the development, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of business workflows using established change management processes. The position participates in software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of workflow applications.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to coding, supporting enterprise-level application development, and participating in cross-functional discussions to identify issues, evaluate process impacts, and develop optimized solutions.
The specialist maintains technical documentation including coding standards, workflows, and user manuals, while ensuring solutions meet end-user requirements and organizational standards.
The role collaborates with IT teams, application owners, vendors, and project stakeholders to support system upgrades, installations, and enhancements. The specialist also monitors project progress, communicates updates, and escalates complex technical challenges when appropriate.
The position supports compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy regulations while adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
The Workflow Automation Specialist contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements, recommending solutions, and staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
WORK HOURS:
A standard 40-hour work week is expected. Additional schedule details will be provided by the client. Overtime may be required to meet project deliverables.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Experience / Skills:
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant IT or workflow automation experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience
• Experience in workflow systems analysis, design, and development
• Proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools used in enterprise application development
• Experience documenting requirements, developing process diagrams, and communicating technical concepts
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of IT policies, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS EXPERIENCE WITH:
• Workflow automation tools and platforms
• Requirements gathering and documentation
• Process analysis and optimization
• Software testing, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Enterprise application development environments
• Collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to work in compliance with company policies, procedures, and global standards
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects
• Experience developing workflows for large or complex projects
• Familiarity with enterprise-level workflow systems and tools
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives
