Job Description
This is a full-time and on-site position that is located in Chicago, IL. Must live in Chicago, IL or surrounding area.
Illinois RN license required
Join our team and play a critical role in supporting employees throughout their recovery and return-to-work journey. This position focuses on coordinating transitional duty assignments, managing employee restrictions, tracking absences, and partnering with operational leaders to identify appropriate return-to-work opportunities.
This is not a traditional Occupational Health role focused on clinic operations, treatment, screenings, or direct patient care. Instead, the role centers on return-to-work coordination, absence management, disability management, workers' compensation support, and employee case tracking. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing employee restrictions, collaborating with stakeholders, and navigating multiple systems to ensure successful return-to-work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Experience coordinating return-to-work programs, managing work restrictions, transitional duty assignments, employee absences, or workers' compensation cases strongly preferred.
Backgrounds such as Occupational Health with absence management responsibilities, Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), workers' compensation adjusting, case management, leave administration, or Human Resources-related case management are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of work restrictions, modified duty programs, return-to-work processes, and disability/absence management.
Ability to independently manage a caseload while prioritizing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
Advanced computer proficiency with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously and create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets and reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other case management or tracking systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to track employee status, monitor return-to-work milestones, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the case management process.Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in good standing.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $74,000 - $98,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
