Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Workday Integration Developer to design, develop, and support complex integrations and applications that meet critical business and operational needs. This role works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions within a structured software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting and evolving Workday-based integrations.

 

Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain integrations and applications in alignment with an established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and support financial integrations within a Workday-based architecture, including inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with business subject matter experts, internal technical teams, and vendors to deliver complex application solutions that support market and internal business needs.
  • Conduct all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and integration.
  • Design component and data architectures, monitor performance, evaluate products, and provide design recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design and functional specifications.
  • Provide ongoing support, incident management, and enhancements for existing integrations.
  • Participate in system maintenance activities such as version upgrades, patching, fixes, and enhancements.
  • Research, evaluate, and adopt new tools and technologies to improve development and support processes.
  • Adhere to architectural standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues in environments requiring quick turnaround and high reliability.

For Senior and Lead levels:

  • Advise management on technical strategy, development objectives, and SLA achievement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday integrations, providing guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Lead architectural planning, design, and development efforts for complex initiatives.
  • Mentor, train, and support other team members as needed.

 

Job Skills Required

  • Minimum 2(Level 2)/5(senior)/8(Lead) years of relevant Workday integration experience depending on level
  • Proficiency
  • Strong experience with Workday Integrations, including: Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Integration Security and Security Framework, Calculated Fields, Business Processes, Workday Reporting, including BIRT
  • Experience designing and developing integrations within Workday architecture.
  • Proficiency with API and integration technologies such as SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT, and XPATH.
  • Preferred experience supporting Java or OpenShift-based applications exchanging data with Workday.
  • Experience with SOA-based integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Java, Oracle PL/SQL, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Linux.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible Tower.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Application Performance Monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Workday financial systems (e.g., Treasury/Banking, Settlements & Billing, Collateral and Credit Management, BlackLine Cash Application) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and pattern-recognition abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and in production support environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on performance, scalability, and operational optimization.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, MIS, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

 

Salary

  • $122,000 - $207,828 per year (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
