Job Description

We are seeking a Workday Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Workday HCM automation, integrations, and test frameworks and a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation that improves accuracy, reliability, and efficiency across Workday modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation solutions for Workday business processes, workflows, integrations, and EIBs.
  • Evaluate and advise on the most appropriate automation tools for project needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Workday using tools such as Opkey, Selenium, Katalon Studio, Kainos SmartTest, REST Assured, ReadyAPI, or proprietary frameworks.
  • Execute regression, functional, and integration automation testing for Workday releases and updates.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot automation or integration defects.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize workflows.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Workday systems.
  • Support Workday releases, patches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document automation processes, test scripts, and system configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of Workday experience across HCM, Finance, or Payroll modules.
  • Strong automation experience, including hands-on test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Opkey, Katalon Studio, Kainos SmartTest, REST Assured, or ReadyAPI.
  • Workday automation testing project delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience with CI/CD and version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience serving as the primary automation resource for Workday programs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and Workday EIB best practices.
