Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour Hours per week: 5-19
SUMMARY OF POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing box office assistance as needed during production week(s), and other production assistance, including hanging posters on and off campus, picking up marketing materials, and other duties as assigned.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Manages box office sales under the auspices of the house manager during productions, including selling tickets, greeting, and serving customers. Maintains good public relations while working with faculty, staff, local businesses, and customers. Handles monetary functions, including cash security and use of the point-of-sale system.
Maintains supplies and overall cleanliness for Schafer Hall box office area and Front of House. Hangs posters in on and off-campus buildings, developing a database of local businesses that do and do not accept posters. Places relevant marketing materials in on and off-campus buildings.
Supports innovation, creativity, and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc., in the department and as a whole for the college. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Two years of retail experience and/or customer service experience. • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated positive customer service skills, and the ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds. • Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite, email, and electronic calendar (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects. • Ability to work independently and handle interruptions. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (essential function).
PREferred QUALIFICATIONS: • More than two years of related customer service experience. • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other graphic design software. • Experience in a college environment.
