Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Work Order Coordinator   to join our electric utility client in Wilsonville, OR. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. 

Pay:$24.00 - $26.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.


Schedule: 100% onsite; M-F 7am - 3:30pm

Description:
  • Requires expertise in a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
  • Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others, but not a supervisor
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
  • May assign permitting tasks to other team members. Analyzes permitting requirements for complex jobs. Determines permitting required and coordinates permitting process, ensuring timing meets business objectives. Collaborates with others to schedule work to ensure permits are complete.
  • Monitors permitting process and troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Creates and sends notifications to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies impact of planned outages on customers. Performs quality control on list of customers for outages and notify other departments of potential risks.
  • Creates, updates and monitors design work orders in accordance with established procedures. Resolves or escalates potential issues.
  • Designs new processes. Develops and maintains documented processes and implements process improvements
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to other employees. May provide training, coaching and feedback.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 3-5 or more years in related field.

Job Competencies:
  • Intermediate knowledge of the electrical distribution system
  • Advanced knowledge of the systems used in the department
  • Intermediate knowledge of distribution construction processes and procedures
  • Working skills in interpreting design sketches
  • Advanced knowledge of permitting laws and regulations as they relate to utility operations
  • Basic knowledge of right of way
  • Working skills in process improvement
  • Intermediate skills in customer focus
  • Intermediate skills in prioritization and organization
  • Intermediate skills in communication
  • Consistent use of relevant principles to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.


Previous Utility experience required: no, but preferred
Can you give a high-level overview of your team size, roles, its initiatives/deliverables, and any tool/technologies specific to your team/department/project they will be supporting:
  • It's a team of 12 (10FTEs, 2 CWs) currently.We maintain all Vegetation clearances around power lines, etc. We process around 15K work orders a year that call out either tree trimming and landscape clearance, as well as some landscape restoration work, all of which support company's construction projects.
  • Primary systems utilized throughout the day are Maximo and Quickbase. Both of these systems will be heavily used for internal work order creations.

What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months?:
  • Accuracy!
  • The work is repetitive, each CW should be able to create ~20 internal work orders in a daily shift. Speed and accuracy is key as it affects key stakeholders significantly.


Top 3 Must-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills):
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized and focused
  • Clear communicator, great grammar (email, phone calls, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable with technology - this is fully a computer role, and on average will use between 10-15 different applications throughout the day to be successful the WO creation task.
