Pay Range: State Teacher Salary + [10.5% - 18% local supplement]
Major Duties/Responsibilities: Work-Based Learning & Community Relations and Middle School Support
Internship Coordination: Manage student internship onboarding, documentation, and scheduling for fall, spring, and summer terms.
Site Monitoring & Quality Control: Conduct required employer site visits and formal student evaluation checkpoints at least once every nine weeks to monitor safety, mentor quality, and skill progression.
Pre-Apprenticeship Program Development: Establish, align, and maintain registered pre-apprenticeship pathways with state and industry standards, connecting students directly to post-secondary trade and technical opportunities.
Compliance & Legal Safety: Ensure all work-based learning sites comply with labor laws, OSHA standards, child labor regulations, district risk management protocols, and liability insurance requirements.
Data Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student hours, training plans, industry credentials, and employer evaluations using district tracking software for state reporting and audit purposes.
Community Liaison: Serve as the primary district representative to local businesses, chambers of commerce, military recruiters, post-secondary institutions, and non-profit organizations.
Employer Recruitment & Onboarding: Actively recruit new business partners to offer job shadowing, mentorships, internships, and guest speaking opportunities.
Advisory Collaboration: Assist in planning, hosting, and facilitating regional Business Advisory Council (BAC) meetings to gather industry feedback and align CTE curricula with local workforce needs.
Pathways Marketing: Market district CTE pathways, dual-enrollment/articulation agreements, and industry-recognized certifications through targeted newsletters, social media, press releases, and community presentations.
Student & Family Outreach: Host career fairs, parent informational nights, and student orientation sessions to promote work-based learning opportunities and program benefits.

Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree (click here for more info about Master's pay)
License Name/Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree
Required License: Current continuing professional license in a CTE program area OR current continuing professional license as School Counselor at the G level
Requirements to convert to continuing:
Option 1 (2 required courses)
National Career Development Association (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course
Option 2 (Six semester hours and Induction)
3 semester hours in Counseling theory
3 semester hours from the following:
Career development and counseling
Career and life planning
Career development and occupational information
