    In this role, your patients will be critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening diseases. Our nurses wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend.

    Labor and Delivery Nurse Role:

    • Patience and focus to constantly monitor high acuity setting
    • Proven ability to think and react quickly in critical situations
    • Proficiency with laboring mothers
    • Passion for excellence in delivering quality care

    Job Details:

    Six shifts per month which includes 2 weekend shifts. One summer and 1 winter holiday per year.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Of Science Nursing (24 month grace period)
    • At least one (1) year of RN experience
    • Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
    • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Two or more years of RN experience on a L&D unit

    Where Youll Work

    The Woodlands Hospital is a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include:

    • Cardiovascular services
    • Diagnostic imaging
    • Women's services (digital mammography and bone density studies)
    • Neurosciences
    • Pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries)
    • Surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders

    Clinical affiliations include:

    • The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's Radiation Treatment Center
    • Texas Children's Hospital
