Simmonds Martin & Helmbrecht of Advantia Health is looking for a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our practices in Frederick, Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Damascus, MD. We are seeking a WHNP with solid GYN experience as well as antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum experience that includes patients with varying medical conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients • Diagnose and treat acute episodic or chronic illnesses • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments • Develops and implements patient management policies and procedures • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities • Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications

Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required Current state licensure as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner (Maryland preferred) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (Maryland preferred) Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required DEA and CDS eligible 1 year of experience working in the womens health field
