GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hiring 4 field technicians to conduct surveys for wolverines. Positions will start on 2 November 2026 and run through 30 April 2027 and will be based out of Lander or Pinedale. Surveys include substantial hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling throughout high-elevation habitats in the winter to deploy and maintain remote cameras coupled with bait and lure. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, equipment maintenance, data entry, and photo identification.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to those with a high school degree plus 2 years of experience in fish and wildlife resource management, research, or habitat development OR at least 2 years of college coursework towards or completion of a baccalaureate degree in wildlife management or a closely related field.
Preference will also be given to those with previous experience safely working and navigating in remote locations in winter conditions, particularly those who have completed avalanche safety courses.
Agency requires that the successful applicant have a valid driver's license.
