The Wiring Systems Engineer is responsible for all aspects of wire harness schematics design. This includes: wire and fuse sizing, harness architecture layout, implementation of CAN network layouts, product plan assessment, harness complexity creation, harness design optimization (VAVE / VO). The Systems Engineer will design and validate the electrical systems and released components to ensure we meet all Stellantis electrical specifications in the vehicle and component environments. The systems engineer will support PWB and manufacturing facilities for the entire life cycle, manage the supplier systems engineering support team, manage large amounts of data, and be fluent working in corporate computer systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience
A minimum of 5 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation, and presentation of management-level high-quality presentation materials and reports
Experience working with Capital Tools Suite (Logic, Integrator and XC)
Proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
Fluency in Spanish and English
Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
Web publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
