Overview
Join a hands-on production role where you build and finish industrial belts from start to finish. You will read manufacturing orders, assemble wire components, verify product quality at set intervals, and prepare completed belts for shipment.
A Day in the Life
- Review manufacturing orders to capture customer details and specifications.
- Inspect the starter piece to confirm it meets quality expectations before assembly.
- Assemble wires into the starter piece with consistent technique and accuracy.
- Continuously monitor key quality characteristics throughout the build, including twist, bow, curve, ends, belt width, tightness, parallel alignment, skips, and results of the bend test.
- Perform the bend test at the start of each belt and again every three hours.
- Reroll each belt upon completion and help verify quality during the reroll process.
- Form boxes to the correct dimensions using a pneumatic staple gun; mark each box with accurate information, band it securely, and move it to the designated staging area.
- Shape belts by applying positive or negative bow as required.
- Repair edges using wire cutters and pliers; perform edge bending with bending dies.
- Create splice clips as needed to complete the assembly.
- Cut cardboard poles to size using a saw for packaging or support needs.
- Rotate among different workstations based on production priorities.
What You Bring
