Wire & Cable Production Line Operator

Location: McKinney, TX

Pay: $17–$20 per hour + overtime & shift differential

A day in the life

From your first equipment check to the last bundle leaving the line, you keep production moving. You’ll rotate between Armor, Cabler, and Packaging equipment, tracking output, verifying quality, and responding quickly to any alerts. With as many as five machines running under your care in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use tools, check measurements, and keep your area safe and organized—every shift.

What you’ll take on

• Operate and continuously monitor Armor, Cabler, and Packaging lines.
• Manage up to five machines at once while maintaining quality and throughput.
• Set up, inspect, and perform basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Use common hand tools—calipers, wrenches, sockets, pliers, knives, and tape measures—to verify specs and make adjustments.
• Keep your station clean, orderly, and compliant with OSHA and Prysmian safety standards.
• Escalate safety issues immediately and support production priorities from supervisors.
• Model dependable attendance and teamwork.

What you bring

• Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required—hands-on training provided.
• Stamina for very physical work and repetitive motion.
• Comfort using standard hand tools.
• Ability to multitask across multiple machines.
• Must not be color blind.
• Reliability, eagerness to learn, and a team-first mindset.
• Preferred: farm or farm-hand background (labor-intensive work familiarity).
• Preferred: openness to 3rd shift/overnight schedules.

Work environment

• Loud, industrial manufacturing floor.
• Heat exposure with occasional outdoor tasks.
• Frequent bending, twisting, standing, kneeling, and repetitive movement.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• High tempo with continuous machine operation.

Schedules

• 12-hour or 8-hour shifts.
• Overtime available.
• Weekend availability required.
• 3rd-shift and overnight candidates strongly preferred.
