Windows Security Engineer

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Remote)

Role Overview

This position is responsible for managing secure access, account administration, and security controls across Windows environments. The role supports application operations and ensures compliance with enterprise security standards in development, testing, and production settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage service accounts within Active Directory.
• Provision and maintain user and service account access based on approved requests and security requirements.
• Validate and enforce approvals for privileged and elevated access in line with security standards.
• Create and manage platform-based accounts and passwords for automated application jobs.
• Ensure proper change records are in place for all system updates and modifications.
• Apply and maintain standard naming conventions per security policies.
• Create, modify, and manage application groups and group memberships.
• Implement and maintain file share and permission controls following the principle of least privilege.
• Troubleshoot job failures and account issues related to access, password expiration, or group permissions.
• Support and troubleshoot managed service accounts.
• Utilize and modify automation scripts to support enterprise batch processes.
• Respond to tickets within defined service level objectives and provide timely updates.
• Document activities for audit and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Must be willing to work day, swing, or mid shifts as directed to support project requirements.

Technical Skills: Experience with Active Directory, Windows platform security, and troubleshooting access issues with service accounts, including those managed by CyberArk.
