The Opportunity:
CACI is searching for a Windows System Administrator to support the FEMA Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) in Washington, D.C. As a Windows System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and operational resilience of FEMA's Windows-based infrastructure. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cybersecurity professionals, system owners, and enterprise administrators to implement and maintain secure server configurations and identity management solutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to safeguarding FEMA's mission-critical systems and data. The Windows System Administrator will be responsible for securing Windows-based infrastructure supporting operational resilience, hardening, patching, identity management, and control implementation across the FEMA enterprise. This position requires building, hardening, patching, and maintaining Windows servers to ensure they stay updated through consistent patching. The Windows System Administrator will manage user accounts across the entire FEMA enterprise and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) enterprise-wide to enforce security controls and permissions, ensuring consistent security configurations across all Windows systems.


Responsibilities:
The Windows System Administrator will build, harden, patch, and maintain Windows servers across the FEMA enterprise and ensure servers stay updated through consistent patching to maintain operational resilience. This position requires implementing security configurations and applying security patches promptly while ensuring compliance with DISA STIGs and agency-specific security requirements. The Windows System Administrator will manage user accounts across the entire FEMA enterprise and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) enterprise-wide to enforce security controls and permissions, ensuring consistent security configurations across all Windows systems. Responsibilities include handling vulnerability remediation activities for Windows-based systems, managing digital certificates for authentication and encryption, and maintaining system logging for auditing and compliance. The position involves supporting ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) requirements and executing recovery processes to ensure business continuity. The Windows System Administrator will maintain technical documentation for all administrative actions and perform logging, certificates, and recovery processes. This position requires designing and implementing plans of action and milestones to remediate findings from vulnerability and risk assessments and configuring and validating secure systems while testing security products and systems to detect computer and information security weakness.


Qualifications:

Required: 
U.S. Citizenship required  
- FEMA EOD suitability or Current DHS or FEMA EOD preferred
- MA + 7 years of applicable experience in Windows system administration  
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Windows system administration  
- Demonstrated expertise in Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience with DISA STIGs and security hardening best practices
- Knowledge of vulnerability remediation and patch management processes
- Experience with identity and access management systems
- Strong understanding of Windows security logging and auditing.



Desired:
Previous DHS or DoD experience
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
- Knowledge of certificate management and PKI infrastructure
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Familiarity with ICAM tools and privileged access management
- Experience supporting 24/7 operations

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
