Responsibilities
The Service Technician is an hourly position that is responsible for working closely with our sales team and our customer base in trouble shooting issues that are occurring with windows and doors and making the correct repairs. . This includes but is not limited to:
Screen installation.
Balancing windows.
Replacing glass and/or sashes.
Door repairs.
Installing windows and doors.
M - F (48-hour work week), typical days will be 7 to 5 with some flexibility.
Reports to and works directly with our Customer service manager on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Previous construction experience is a must, working with or installing windows or doors is a plus
Fast-paced work environment, excellent customer service skills.
Efficient, needs to be motivated, many days working alone on small repairs. Some days with a crew of 2 or 3. Most days around other subs and or customers
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals), write short correspondence and memos, and effectively present information to others one-on-one
Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training
