Position Purpose |
Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile surgical instrumentation and disinfects equipment for Surgical Services and Clinical departments throughout the hospital. |
Position Qualifications |
Education: High school diploma or GED, |
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes Prior knowledge of basic principles of sterilization, surgical instrumentation and disinfecting preferred. Communication skills, listening abilities, ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations. |
Licenses/Certificates: Must be a Certified registered central service technician within 18 months of hire. |
