Position Purpose |
Provide supervision of nursing and hospital personnel and patient care activities on a particular shift with an emphasis on maintaining standards of care and patient safety. |
Position Qualifications |
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing. BSN or willing to attain within five (5) years |
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes Three (3) years experience in acute care nursing required, management experience required. Managerial skills, clinical expertise, teach/instruct, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care. |
Licenses/Certificates: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification must be completed prior to end of orientation period |
