POSITION SUMMARY The Dialysis Technician assists in providing hemodialysis to patients by; preparing dialysis machines, cannulating patient access and initiating/discontinuing treatments. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Evaluate patient access before cannulation each treatment. Setting up and tearing down of dialysis machines in safe and timely manner. Documents necessary data for each patient every treatment. Monitor patients closely during treatment for adverse reactions and reports to nurse accordingly. Obtain lab specimens as ordered. Attends daily huddles and monthly meetings as scheduled. Perform other nursing duties as requested. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. High school diploma or equivalent required. CCHT certification preferred or must be obtained within 18 months of hire. BLS certification required. 6 months of related work experience preferred. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Shift: 3-12 hour shifts (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 3am-3:30pm Occasional weekend Holiday rotations
