This established general contractor, with over 50 years of experience, specializes in large-scale projects nationwide and is currently expanding within the Nashville area to develop local projects. Their national presence provides a competitive advantage over local firms.
Job Description
Compute project costs by analyzing labor, materials, and timelines
Gather proposals, blueprints, and specifications to prepare estimates
Resolve discrepancies through data analysis
Present estimates with detailed reports and visuals
Develop budgets during conceptual and design phases
Review plans for accuracy and consistency
Manage all aspects of take-offs and apply unit prices
Collaborate with the preconstruction team to bid projects successfully
Grow into a leadership role within the estimating team
Requirements include 10+ years of estimating experience, ability to handle multiple projects, strong communication skills, and a flexible, independent work style. A degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not mandatory.
