Job Summary

Maysville Community & Technical College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 10- month term contract position at the Montgomery Campus for a: Welding Instructor.

This is not a remote position. This is an in-person position and requires on-campus presence.

Job Duties:

Overall responsible for the classroom management including;

  • Demonstrate and promote/instruct all customary safety practices in the field of welding
  • Classroom supervision and instruction on a project to project basis
  • Laboratory preparation
  • Customized curriculum development and delivery
  • Able to demonstrate/instruct stick, MIG and TIG welding processes
  • Able to instruct acetylene/oxy-fuel cutting torch processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree in Applied Science and four years' experience in the field and/or approval from Academic Dean.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hold and maintain an AWS CWI certification, experience/proficient in blueprint reading & fabrication instruction. Have the ability to navigate MS Office, specifically Word, Outlook and some Excel on a PC platform.
