    Work Schedule: Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities. Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may also include a lab component. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter.

    Rate of Pay: Per Contact Hour 2025: Less than Masters = $1069; Masters or above = $1109

    FLSA Status: Exempt Grant Funded: No

    Job Summary: Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the colleges strategic goals and evaluate students progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 4000 hours welding experience in industry and welding certification(s) or 2000 hours welding experience with an Associates of Applied Science in Welding Fabrication Technology or Bachelors of Science in Welding Engineering.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Certified Welding Inspector preferred

    Essential Duties:

    Deliver Instruction

    1. Conduct assigned classes and/or labs
    2. Prepare lessons
    3. Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
    4. Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets

    If a lab is involved:

    1. Prepare labs
    2. Enforce lab safety procedures

    Evaluate Student Progress

    1. Keep accurate record of student performance
    2. Provide students with timely feedback

    Provide Student Assistance

    1. Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
    2. Refer students to student support services
    3. Accommodate special needs students

    Other Duties: Other duties as assigned that pertain to the job description

    Physical Demands: Medium (up to 50 lbs. occasionally or 30 lbs frequently or 10 lbs constantly)

    Work Environment: Loud noise
