Welder

Location: Thomasville, GA
Duration: 3 Months
Work Mode: Onsite

Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm

Possible OT on Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Process various raw materials for fabrication of semi-complex fabricated parts.
• Interpret drawings to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
• Perform mostly MIG welding, with some TIG welding required.
• Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Perform FCAW and GMAW Welding from basic blueprints.
• Conduct basic operations using hand and power tools, including chipping hammers and grinders.
• Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP).
• Drive continuous improvement processes and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues such as faulty consumables.
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner.
• Contribute to division results and performance.
• Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:

• FCAW and GMAW Welding experience.
• Basic blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with operation of various hand and power tools.
• Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis, up to 11 hours/day.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
• Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
• May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
• May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
• Work surfaces may include concrete.
• Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
