RESPONSIBILITIES: Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:  Perform manual/automatic welding, tacking, weld repairing at 1G (flat) on plates or pipes, ensuring proper penetration and fusion; heat straightening at flat or horizontal position.  Read technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand specifications.  Select, set up, and maintain welding equipment (e.g., manual TIG, JetLine, AMI, Robot, EBW, Laser Welding)  Clean, cut, bend, and clamp or tack-weld components into position.  Monitor weld quality during and after welding to ensure compliance with code requirements, using visual inspection to check for defects. Help troubleshooting if needed.  Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.  Repair existing equipment and perform minor repairs on welding machinery.  May perform other related responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Must demonstrate knowledge in TIG welding by successfully passing AWS D17.1 1G weld test: o 0.063' SS321, butt joint at 1G position o 0.063' Hast-X, butt joint at 1G position o Welds must pass visual inspection, FPI, and X-Ray testing o Must pass weld defects visual inspection test  Experience with semi-automatic/orbital welders preferred  Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and be willing to work effectively as a participative team member in a dynamic team-oriented environment.  Ability to read, write and understand instructions, procedures, drawings and blueprints.  Must possess a high level of manual dexterity, sound and reliable judgment and a willingness to learn.  Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to accurately perform moderately complex mathematical calculations.  Ability to learn/perform basic computer operations.  May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
