Experienced full-time Welder needed in Tallapoosa, Ga for day/night shifts. Responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components using MIG and/or stick welding while following blueprints and work instructions.
Location: Douglasville, GA Job Shift: Day (6 am-6:30 pm) Pay Rate: $18hr +
Key Duties:
Set up welding tools and equipment
Measure, cut, tack, weld, grind, and clean materials
Read blueprints and weld symbols
Operate welders, torches, drills, saws, and other shop equipment
Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean
Report equipment and keep the work area clean
Report equipment or quality issues to the supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of welding experience preferred
Production welding experience is a plus
AWS certification helpful but not required
Ability to pass welding test/ certification
Basic math and measuring skills required
Able to work overtime/weekends when needed
Knowledge of steel alloys, welding material, and fabrication tools preferred
