Description:

We are seeking a Welder for 1st Shift in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural and precision components according to blueprints and specifications.
Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts.
Use measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection methods to confirm dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and cutting torches.
Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and related tools.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow all company, OSHA, and safety procedures to maintain a hazard-free work area.
May perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.

Requirements:

Technical or trade school certification in welding preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Ability to effectively operate and maintain forklift equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with fabrication equipment and hand tools.
AWS (American Welding Society) certification preferred or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
Must commit to shift days and times as scheduled.
