Job Duties The Virginia Museum of the Civil War at the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, Shenandoah County, is accepting applications for part-time Weekend Visitor Services Technicians. Duties include orienting visitors, operating a cash register/credit card terminal, and customer service.

Hours: 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Hours worked as needed by management; weekend work required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires interest in history & strong communications skills
  • Enthusiasm for working with the public
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with the POS system
  • Neat, business-like appearance

Additional Considerations

  • Experience in retail sales
  • Poise, reliability & friendly professional manner
  • Proven experience with customer service
