Overview The Plastics Manager will lead projects and staff within the department, train new team members on processes and safety protocols, and establish the procedures necessary to ensure the quality of sprayed product.Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 12-hour shifts, paid for 40 hours. Training will be during weekdays before moving to the weekend schedule.Responsibilities Collaborate with other departments to meet production schedule and shipping deadlines.Review work orders and schedule work according to customer timeline and shipping lead time.Provide expertise in Quality Control, training and department efficiency.Follow current training procedures to ensure all employees are trained properly on processes and equipment.Implement ways to help the department thrive through efficiency and automation and devise strategies to increase productivity and improve operations.Control inventory and monitor consumable usage.Coordinate each team member on a project/task.Track/monitor the progress of daily productInspect finished product to ensure it is built according to specification and safety regulations.Attend and engage in weekly production meetings.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant.Working knowledge of spray and plastics processes and equipment used in production.Must have understanding of technical aspects of manufacturing metals, composites, mold making and woodwork.Must be able to read and understand construction plans.Must pass a drug screen and background check.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Education High school diploma or GEDSupervisory requirements Provide expertise and guidance to the team.Managing employees, work together to overcome challenges and create policies or practices to ensure the success of the team.Communicating with the team regularly.Resolve conflict within the team.Coordination with training new staff.Completing and conducting employee performance reviews.Competencies Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Must have a production-driven mindset.Ability to lead others objectively and fairly.Detail-oriented.Analytical thinker with ability to take concepts and apply them to new problems with creativity to achieve a solution.Effective communication skills.Ability to effectively motivate, train and coach others.Demonstrates competencies: delegating, clear and concise communication, composure, planning, multitasking, time management, decisive decision making, fairness, dependability, positivity, and integrity.Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams).Results oriented with a drive for continuous improvement.Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures (heat, cold) for the duration of shifts.#J-18808-Ljbffr
