Web Manager (IT Consultant II), Salary: $57,779 - $72,224 per year, USCA Marketing and Communications

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position functions as the university's web manager. With the assistance of the director, this position oversees the presentation and functioning of the website serving all the departments within the university. Guides and assists web content owners, authors and stakeholders. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital content and multimedia assets for the university website, intranet, and digital signage systems. Assures consistent application of accepted standards and best practices for site design, function and usability while working within university defined guidelines. Regularly assesses and evaluates site performance and usage, producing summary reports. Works under assigned deadlines to initiate, produce and manage special projects as part of the University Advancement Division. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Knowledge of database and programming helpful. Experience with UX research and design. Application deadline: June 24, 2026. USCA is an AA/EOE. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of database and programming helpful. Experience with UX research and design.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of modern web development standards, responsive design principles, and content management systems. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, web accessibility standards, SEO best practices, and web analytics platforms. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve medium- to complex-level website and CMS issues. Understanding of UX principles, digital communications, and visual design standards. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and digital content production workflows. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to users with varying levels of technical expertise. Ability to establish effective working relationships and provide guidance and training to faculty, staff, and students. Familiarity with database-driven web applications and web programming concepts helpful.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Designs, organizes, and builds and tests webpages to ensure usability, accessibility, and overall ease of navigation by users. Identifies user requirements, web architecture, and project scope. Serves as the primary administrator and steward of the university's content management system.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty

Develops and implements web design standards and templates, that adhere to the branding style guide. Contributes to efforts to strengthen the effectiveness, usability, and visual consistency of the university's digital presence.

Monitors and analyzes web statistics to identify trends and services requested, and use this data to improve content. Routinely evaluates websites and digital content for accessibility compliance and usability in accordance with ADA and WCAG standards.

Ensure that all web projects remain on schedule and on budget. Maintain all documentation related to web projects.

Oversees the ongoing maintenance, functionality, and optimization of the university website and related digital platforms, coordinating with hosting providers and university technology personnel as needed to ensure reliable and secure operation.
