Web Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking a Web Infrastructure Engineer to own and support public-facing web platforms and related infrastructure. This role will focus on ensuring web environments remain secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available while partnering closely with cloud and security teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of web operations, infrastructure, and security expertise, with experience supporting enterprise web environments, DNS, Linux hosting, content management platforms, and web security technologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Web Operations, Web Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Systems Administration, or related disciplines
• Strong experience with DNS administration, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DNSSEC
• Experience supporting Linux-based web hosting environments and public-facing web applications
• Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS certificate management and web security best practices
• Experience with CDN, Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS mitigation, and edge security technologies
• Experience supporting WordPress or other enterprise content management platforms
• Experience performing patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities
• Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and problem-solving skills
• Experience collaborating with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience supporting regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or cloud security certifications
• Experience with identity-aware access controls, zero-trust concepts, and modern web security frameworks

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support enterprise web infrastructure and public-facing web applications
• Administer DNS, domain services, SSL/TLS certificates, and related web technologies
• Deploy, maintain, and support content management and web hosting environments
• Configure and maintain CDN, WAF, and web security solutions
• Monitor web platform performance, availability, uptime, and security posture
• Perform platform upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation
• Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and business teams to implement secure web solutions
• Support documentation, compliance, governance, and audit requirements
• Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
