Meta is looking for a Temporary Web Developer to contribute to web development projects for both internal and external sites. This role involves building and maintaining Meta-branded web properties, delivering new features, and ensuring high standards of code quality and site performance. You will utilize AI tools to facilitate and speed up development processes. Please note that this is a temporary assignment, not a permanent staff position.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and improve WordPress site features using JavaScript and PHP.
Create and modify WordPress plugins and themes, including bug fixes and updates.
Partner with various stakeholders to turn requirements into robust technical solutions.
Enhance site responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues.
Engage in code reviews and documentation while adhering to secure coding standards.
Implement an AI-first development workflow using modern toolsets.

Minimum Requirements

Proven track record of developing WordPress sites or applications with PHP and JavaScript.
Direct experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up.
Proficiency in HTML/CSS and knowledge of web best practices regarding accessibility and maintainability.
Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tasks independently in high-pressure environments.
Clear communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
