Description

As the first point of contact for people when they reach out to WBUR, the receptionist is responsible for answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, and responding emails with a friendly demeanor and a focus on being as helpful as possible. Along with the front-facing responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for light support tasks such as updating certain correspondence trackers, assisting with break-room upkeep, and ensuring that the facilities are kept in a clean and orderly manner. This position will report to the Operations Manager. This position is part-time and in-person, on a 12 PM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage reception desk operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Respond to and forward calls, maintain station email inboxes, provide guest access to building and parking garage and some administrative tasks.
  • Maintain fresh coffee, clean, and organize breakroom.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen supplies and equipment including dishwasher, coffee machine, range, and other equipment.
  • Receive and distribute packages and mail as they are delivered to or picked up from WBUR's studio.

Required Skills
