  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited engineering program
  • 6+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience for engineering reports, studies, and project documentation
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently and proactively
  • Ability to work effectively within established project budgets and schedules
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to function efficiently within multidisciplinary project teams
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support project leadership in managing engineering teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and delivering high-quality technical work. Responsibilities include supporting projects from conceptual planning through final design and bid-ready documentation, coordinating internal and external resources, and maintaining quality assurance standards throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Evaluation, rehabilitation, and retrofitting of existing infrastructure
  • Support of owner's advisory and technical consulting services
  • Water distribution system planning and design, including pumping and storage systems
  • Wastewater collection system planning and design, including lift stations
  • Participation in master planning, hydraulic modeling, condition assessments, and capacity evaluations
  • Coordination and oversight of construction-phase services
  • Management of budgets and schedules across multiple engineering projects
  • Serving as technical lead and Engineer of Record on assigned projects, where applicable
  • Coordination with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Assisting with development of scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and change management activities
  • Supporting resource planning and task assignments for engineering and production staff
  • Assisting with oversight and coordination of project team activities
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering specifications, technical documents, and cost estimates
  • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff on standard engineering practices, procedures, and design criteria
