Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for an entry level Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Charleston.

B&N Water/Wastewater Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:
  • Perform construction related services including construction observation, shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, and perform field inspections
  • Complete daily reports and interact with owners and B&N project manager as needed for progress updates and non-conformance reports using iPad and MS office programs
  • Coordinate with our project teams, internally and externally and participate in project field work for the collection of data, site assessments, field verifications and related functions
  • Provide support for project managers and senior design engineers
  • Perform tasks related to the design and construction of water/wastewater and utility infrastructure processes and facilities, including CAD drafting
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
  • Be available to travel to other offices and project sites to provide support as needed
Skills & Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
  • Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months. Has a desire to become a PE
  • 0-2 years of related water/wastewater experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to utilize virtual collaboration tools
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
