Water Safety Aide JobID: 2375 Position Type: Community Education Date Posted: 4/7/2026 Location: Orono Public Schools Additional Information: Show/Hide Description: Water Safety Aide Job Summary Assisting the Water Safety Instructor in learn-to-swim and water safety courses for preschool, youth and adults. Monitor and ensure participant safety at all times. Assist in creating conditions which ensure an enjoyable experience for participants. Assist in implementing lesson plans with small groups or individual students. Assist with set up and clean up for classes. Communicate effectively with Aquatics Coordinator regarding program needs. Qualifications Must be at least 14 years old. Knowledge of swimming and water safety skills. Demonstrate responsible and dependable work habits. Positive attitude required. * Communicate effectively with Water Safety Instructors Bargaining Group and Level: NA Pay Rate: $12-$15 per hour (depending on experience) Other Benefits: Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) RETIREMENT/PENSION Positions covered by Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) Work Schedule: Saturday mornings and/or some weekdays after school, summer hours as well.
