Water restoration Tech rescues and repairs residential or commercial properties damaged by water, sewage, or mold. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, extracting water, removing damaged materials (demolition), cleaning/sanitizing, and setting up drying equipment, all while following IICRC standards, documenting work, and providing excellent customer service. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response: Rapidly arrive at sites, perform initial damage inspections, and secure properties.
  • Water Mitigation: Extract standing water, remove damaged materials (carpet, drywall, insulation), and sanitize affected areas.
  • Structural Drying: Set up, monitor, and adjust dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture detection equipment to dry structures.
  • Documentation: Take daily, detailed logs of moisture readings and work performed for insurance purposes.
  • Customer Service: Explain the restoration process to homeowners and maintain professional communication. 
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    • Certifications: IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is highly preferred, with Applied Structural Drying (ASD) as a plus.
    • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work in tight spaces (crawlspaces), and stand for extended periods.
    • License: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
    • Experience: Previous construction, remediation, or restoration experience is often required.
    • Skills: Ability to work in high-stress, on-call, and after-hours emergency scenarios.
